His issue is that he can't actually meet the $500 spend though - in that case OCBC is probably better.

Without meeting credit card spend boc up to 2% (not forgetting higher base interest) ocbc 1.75%. Boc still wins. Besides it is way easier to meet min spending on boc debit/credit cards and with higher rebates to top it up.

thanks guys.
I think I'm going to transfer all my cash from OCBC to BOC to see how's the interest like from next month onwards.
if my salary still credit from OCBC to enjoy the extra 0.2%, am I still eligible for the rest of benefits like credit card spending from BOC,e.g the 0.5% rebates?

0.5% card rebate is not dependent on salary crediting condition.

And you can get other tiers of bonus interest if u hit the criteria

You only have one sum of money (less than 60k) right? Should put the money in the account that gives u the higher interest in the month

What's your usual spending? Online?
FRANK used to be good for online but no longer after they changed their terms.

online only like paying my m1 bills on their site. the rest are just small spending like McDonald's,etc.

so this year spending till now is only $37xx which includes most of the bills I have paid in advance like S&CC, internet and HP bills , SP which I paid $500 every 3 months.

I just realized you're the one that posted in the FRANK thread about phone recently. Yea coz of the offline spend requirement, that card is no longer attractive.
Online nowadays is SCB SingPost, BOC Shop and DBS LiveFresh bah. Do note that other than SCB SingPost, the other two are time limited promos. U can visit the threads in CC forum to read more.

DBS LiveFresh if can use Paywave for groceries can net u 5%.

Can BOC Master Card be linked to EZ-link for Auto-topup?

Hello, am just curious if BOC Master Card can be linked to EZ-link for Auto-topup? The main objective is for the 500 dollar spend requirement.

Thanks for your information. From the EZ link website it seems possible for Mastercard but not sure as I seemed to read a negative answer here....

Just wondering if I arrange for recurring payment (e.g. starhub, M1 bills) to be charged my BOC card credit, do they count towards the $500 spent?
