sigh...there goes $60+ :s13:

actually why does a debit card transaction take 2-3 days to appear? i would think debit card transaction should be like FAST, almost instant since the money is deducted from bank balance :(
The transaction need to go through mastercard and be posted by the merchant.

As Trazora mentioned, although it is a Debit Card, the payment still goes through MasterCard so the usual processing/posting applies.

The only difference from a Credit Card is that your "limit" is the lower between the transaction limit you set and bank account balance.

I find BOC debit card posting very weird.
Once transacted 22nd, only posted 31st ... & only saw it posted on 1st of following month
Separately, another transacted 23rd, same month, same merchant, diff account & was posted 27th.

Hopefully will still maintain above 3% at least

It still maintains the 3.55 BUT at ridiculous terms.

e.g. now u need 1500 spend (no AXS) to qualify for 1.6%, 500 only qualify for 0.8%
salary need to be 6k and above to hit 1.2%, otherwise 0.8%
Giro need to be min. 30 now to qualify for 0.35% compared to 0.6% last time.

Pulling out after Dec....

GG... $1.5k card spend will be a challenge since BOC Shop card is essentially useless and BOC FR isn't that attractive to spend so much.

Ok...

My most Ideal situation:
0.275% + 0.80% + 0.80% + 0.35% = 2.225%

My min fulfillment per mth guarantee:
0.275% + 0.8% + 0.35% = 1.425%

Guess it's not my luck.. Open up account on 1st Oct hoping to get good rates.

Hmm... time to move to other banks now.
OCBC seems my next target. Or back to POSB cashback bonus. :s13:

Still need to thank BOC for the 3.55% p.a. for one year , it was good while it lasted. Nobody actually believed it could go on, especially when none of the other banks could come close.

Now the same conditions will probably get around 2.35% p.a. ( unless higher salary and higher card usage )

The AXS thing was a loophole begging to be plugged, especially with so much buzz in the forums :o
