for my current qualifications and assuming 50k, it is 2.35% BOC vs 2.25% OCBC.
I feel that BOC family card is still good for dining and supermarket rebates. And also easier to hit ($500 only) vs OCBC 365 $600 spend for the visa rebates.

think will still stick to BOC bah. for now.

Yea, I have the same thinking too. There is still good synergy between BOC smart saver and BOC family card (good rebates on netsFP/dining/groceries), so I'll probably stay with them for the time being.

It's still a shame with the revisions though.

same..if my calculation is correct, I can still qualify for 2.7% interest..

any other bank with same condition and higher interest?

most are step up interest which effective interest is not as high..

not sure if everyone noticed but for the 3 payments...
it is min. 30 SGD each...
used to be any amount, easier to get it completed.
some bills might just be short of that 30 bux mark also... so, i dont think you can satisfy easily anymore (for some people who are not so rich to have 1xx SGD per bill life style)

yup if u only focus on BOC family card, then this is the good savings account to go for. it just too bad the interest bonus got bad and those who uses more than one type of cards.

not sure you get my point but what i meant is that for people who used to be able to get through with small bills (say 10-20 bux), after revision, that is no longer possible. those who dont use cc bills...heck if i got cc payment, i would have direct to card spend..so much difficulty to hit that card spend

But thought can still pay other banks cc by their internet banking bill payment? That qualifies for bill payment bah, so not that hard for me.

So I did the math, now I can get 0.4% (base int) + 0.8% (salary) + 0.35% + 0.8%(card spend)= 2.35% still better than what I can get from OCBC. Stick with BOC for now bah. Pending my Family card application, the 7% rebate on dining looks not bad. My frend got approved last wk, so going to wait and see.

Seems like it's still slightly better than Ocbc 360 account even with the drop. There goes the extra 1 over % in interest. Damn!

Perform 3 bill payments of minimum S$30 per bill via GIRO, BOC Online Banking or BOC Mobile Banking bill payment function

So, the CC bills also need to be min. of 30 SGD each right?
I used to settle my 3 bills in 1, 5, 20...
Also, the money off the CC could have been used to accummulate towards card spend right? That is straight 90 bux off the 500 which i had a hard time hitting

Ok, got your point. I think they are trying to patch the holes bah. Encouraging us to use their bank to pay all our bills? Dunno, right now my bf and me are sharing all our bills across two banks. But I guess it's their intention bah, make you more sticky with them. But the rest still looks reachable, just not that high as before liao...

My only problem now is the 1.5k spending. Maybe can buy 1.5k ntuc vouchers and sell all or some via carousell. If can manage that the interest will be the same at 3.55%..

I thought they block the AXS is so that you can't count the credit card bills as spending anymore?
