If spend at least S$500 posted within the month
= ROUND((0.008 * 60000) / 365 * 31, 2)
= 40.77

Credit salary of minimum S$6,000
= ROUND((0.012 * 60000) / 365 * 31, 2)
= 61.15

Thanks for the calculation. Really much clearer to see in this way.

Seems like many of us have same amount

I have 61.15, 17.84, 40.77 also

But i also made near 10k debit card AXS but don't seem to have 0.1% rebates.

Is AXS excluded for debit card 0.1% also?

I got the 0.1% rebate on 1 Jan for AXS spend on the debit card.

I do realise something...

The $2.18 is 10% of the base interest I've received on 1 Jan, same as pcmdan's $2.38/$23.87.
However, still no idea what is this for.

On another note, hope to get some views from the people here..

The max interest we can get from BOC spend is $81.53 for $1500 spend, which translates to about 5% rebate. So if we can spend on other cards that gives >5%, then we are better off spending on the other cards?

Personally, i consolidate all my spend on DBS to accumulate miles so I'm not sure if it is worthwhile to move my spend over.

Still trying to figure out the whole process.

Yah. If i need to spend 1.5k, i would prefer not to spend all on boc Cc. Effectively we can earn more if split 500 x3 in ocbc, UOB and boc.

Is BOC Singapore still refusing to open accounts for U.S. persons? That discrimination, if it's still going on, might be inconsistent with their banking license in Singapore, especially since Singapore and the U.S. have an intergovernmental agreement and since the Common Reporting System has started. It'd also be at least ironic given that BOC has a New York branch.

If you have BOC smartsaver, you should get the family card. Not that it's the best card in the market but because you just need one card to qualify for credit card spending bonus.

U referring to BOC credit cards? Currently I do not hold any of their cards. Any good cards to recommend?

Agreed.... Actually we should be analysing savings a/c interest and cc rebates in totality and look at which banking relationship serves us best when deciding where to place our funds.
