Only rebate not prepayment. UOB did not say you need to leave $500 when they bill you at end of the month

Just to check if BOC is similar to UOB in that any CC cash rebate or pre-payment of CC bill won't affect the total amount considered spent on the CC for the month?

TIA!

Hi! Would like to clarify this (trying to figure out my mistake for Jul-17).

Statement date is 24th of the month. My calendar card spend in Jul-17 is $1510, and I earned cc rebate of $30 (dated 20/7 and 29/7). So, for Jul-17, I have only clocked $1480 correct?

Thanks for the help!

the rebate u earned on 20/7 should be for the 4.5% extra rebate earned for usage in June 24th statement.
the rebate you got on 29/7 possibly the normal one for the July 24 statement ( though usually get it 1-2 days after statement date )
If calender year, your usage of $1510 are all posted also in July 2017, you will earn 1.6% on your BOC Smartsaver bank account balance of up to 60k cap. If not all posted in July, and under $1500, the you will get 0.8% on your bank balance. This should have been credited on 15th Aug already

Hi all, yesterday I transferred a sum from my smartsaver acc to my wife's smartsaver, but the only option is giro and not fast? Nvm I thought same bank should be immediate but unfortunately not, now only I received sms that the money is deducted from my account, but my wife's account is still not credited? I can't believe intra-bank transfer go through such a tedious process? Anything I did incorrect?

Under 'Transfer and Remittance', after you select the Pay-In account (your wife bank account), you will go to a screen which you can select payment method fr a drop-down box (options are FAST, GIRO..). Select FAST.
Schedule transfer can view payment instruction schedule in advance and you can cancel scheduled transfer. But not a periodic schedule payment arrangement. I don't think there is such an option yet?

Yeah, that what I thought so too. Like UOB One acc. Till I only get 0.8% rebate for $1.5K spending in Jul-17.

CSO got back to me today, saying that monthly rebate is calculated in when determining the $1.5K spend. So, in this case, I had only spent $1480 in Jul-17. Appealing did not work. Will just play safe for Aug.

Cannot be. Think the CSO is mistaken

Hi, just bought travel insurance online. While insurance may not qualify for 5% online rebates,
does it count towards $1500 spend requirement?

Guys, I just checked the website again and it seems there is a lot of inconsistency there:
- It says up to 3.55% but if you look at this graph, it is actually more (up to 3.75%):

- On the additional balance over S$60k, in the first paragraph it says earned 1% whereas at the bottom paragraph it says earned 0.6%
