wts2013 is correct. I have 120k. To maximise the returns,

BOC : I get 2.55% of 60K for 3 bills, 500 spend
OCBC : I get 1.75% of 60K for salary credit, 3 bills.

My 120K can be used to offset my property loan (@1.6%), but it is better off using these money to earn more interest. The rest of my excess money from income can buy stocks or to offset the loan.

Even better, you can shuffle the OCBC with another high interest account, to earn the additional 1% for OCBC incremental amount. Alternate every month.. Average will be higher than 1.75%

5 BOC cards in separate mailers arrived in mailbox yesterday, some 17 days after application.

As primitive as its internet banking, activation of each BOC card is not activated instantly but with a message that reads:
"Your SMS has been received. We will call or send you a confirmation SMS within 2 working days to advise on Activation Status. Thank you."

Bank of China is simply amazing!

Still on a holiday mode.

The BOC foundation has been laid. When the night ends on 30 November 2015, funds will march in batches from OCBC 360 to BOC SmartSaver.

Didn't consider UOB One account?

Need to spend another 500 on CC for it to be worth it. Then I need to spend 1000 for BOC and UOB.

Ocbc do not require any spending for 1.75%.

hahaha, we are talking about where to credit salary to max returns, u dun need salary credit to earn max 2.43% on UOB1

yes if u can charge to cc and have another 50K, UOB1 is a good account to have, hahaha

I've gotten mine. Scroll to the left and see "SALA" on the last column. That should mean "SALARY".

Also, love the feature of SMS sent by BOC to notify an incoming transmission of funds. So cool ah

Anyone has the same encounter?

I paid my standard chartered credit card bill using BOC online bill payment option.

After 2 days, the statement description is as follows:

'PAYMENT AT AXS 99276888 kiosk location '

very strange....
The BOC staff went to a nearby AXS to pay my bill?

Yes. You can see in the internet banking page that BOC is using AXS system for bill payment. Strange thing is no Citibank CC on the list.

Sorry, i'm not really savvy on such financial stuff, can i ask if based on your above scenario to max out 120k savings, we should see a monthly combined interest of $215 from both BOC/OCBC?

What if i only have 100K, which BOC/OCBC combo will yield the better interest?

Thanks.
