Hi guys... what does the description "crb" mean? I am referring to the online banking transaction statement.

I am guessing that "sala" refers to salary.

BTW, I tried to apply for giro for Property tax and income tax. Got confirmation from IRAS that deduction would be on the 4th and 5th of the month respectively. But it seems that its not deducted. Weird.

Not so fast one leh. Takes probably a month after you receive the notice to really be effected sometimes.

But not to worry if you miss payment. They will just take your remaining balance and average out again. They might send you a couple of letters but can just ignore as long as your giro is in place

For IRAS, after confirmation, the deduction will skip 1 month and resume the next month (monthly instalment will be adjusted accordingly).

Also, although its 4/5th of the month, and since 5th is a weekend, IRAS will deduct on the next working day instead.

No worries. 6-8 deduction from IRAS is more common. :)

my company does not allow salary credit into BOC account.. :(

Actually, sure allow one. Is whether they want to help or not. For BOC, the account number is the last 11 digits (max account number for any GIRO transaction is only 11).

Tested, proven. All payroll accounts have the ability to add and edit bank code, branch code etc. no reason why they cannot pay to BOC.

They just want to save trouble that's all.

That's true.

Give HR the correct code the first time and they will be glad to help.

In fact, upon logging, it can be seen that my HR has updated the new bank account details one day after submission.

I say again, this is the format to HR:

Bank/Branch/Account Number:
7083/011/91234567890

This is the format that will be entitled "GIRO Salary".

Debit card OPT issues

Hi guys,

I am not able to get an OTP on my mobile while shopping/making payment online using the BOC debit card. Though, i am receiving fund transaction alerts on my mobile as normal. Also, the Debit card works well at merchants.

Has anyone else experienced this problem ?

Thanks !

You'll see "inward transmittance and clearance" on the left, scroll to the MOST RIGHT and you'll see "SAL".

Bingo "SAL" is correct. Gotten my interest for November already.
