Anyway, for amounts exceeding $60k, one can also just park at CIMB fastsaver for 1% pa, no lockup, no conditions.

Hi everyone,

Can I check some details before gg down to boc to open my account.

I jus sent in my application for a boc shop card on 21dec.
I wanted to get the credit cards before heading down to open smartsaver so that I don't have to end up making a second trip to link my card.

Just wondering, if I were to spend on my boc shop card and then later in the same month open a smartsaver account, wld that specific amt spent on my cc b counted for the 1.55% bonus?

How do I giro another bank's credit card to deduct only a certain amount each month? I'm not crediting my salary in BOC so will pay my credit cards from another account.

Is there anyway I can check when my boc shop credit card wld come? Or if it's approve or not

Many thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

you can't giro specific amount. make manual payments via the internet banking.

as for all the other questions, call the bank and find out. no one will know if your card is approved or not.

Hi everyone,

I opened an account yesterday. When I went to the internet banking, I could not see my account yet as of today.
Is this normal?

Thank you for your help.

if u read the first few posts the answers are there.

ask urself a few qns:
1. is ur bank acct linked to ibank
2. did the bank person helped u when u went to open the acct
3. if answers above for the 2 is yes go to pt 4.

4. go link it urself in ibank

5. if the answer for pt 1. and pt 2. either is No, go to pt. 6

6. have to go back to the bank and make sure pt 1 and 2 are done

Can anyone help me do the math here?

yesterday i went to branch to remove the 1.3% fixed interest for 3 month promotion, and credit my account with 2.15% (1.55+0.6).

This morning i checked.

Debit 226.88
Credit 57.92

226.88/3 = 75.63 > 57.92
1.3% greater than 2.15% ???? WTF

my math failed or they have some magic calculation

sorry to hear this

someone mentioned about opening w a 50k deposit but ended w 47k average nia

Somehow the first few days of the account opening with the $10 deposit and not having the cheque cleared or new funds brought in on the same day would result in a lower monthly average balance.

I am looking at switching from ocbc 360 to boc smart saving. Anyone has recommendation which credit card to get in terms of best cash rebate?

I was considering the boc shop! card. But I read their terms and condition that their additional 5% (on top of their 1% base rebate)via only valid till 30 sept 2015.

The 5% was extended to dec and heard to be continued with change that 5% capped at $30
