I know there was 20% rebate for some department store last year but I don't see such promotion ongoing. In any case, I would use unionpay credit card instead of debit card.

Ok, i got my BoC shop and family cards. Is there anything i need to do, like need to link them to my Smart saver account in order to qualify for bonus interest?

As this is already middle of jan, i intend to start in feb. does it mean on 1 feb, i transfer 60k to my boc a/c, then if i hold for one month and also spend $500 on cc during feb, i will get bonus interest of 1.55% plus base of 0.4%, total 1.95%?

Is the $500 cc spend based on calender month or billing cycle?

No need to link to qualify. Link is just to track your credit card spending on ibanking.

To qualify for the 1.55% interest, you need to spend $500 credit or debit within a calender month.

To also get the credit card rebate itself you will need to spend $500 within the statement month(best to spend $500 within the calender month and your statement month to get the two benefits at one shot)

Yes 1.55% for credit/debit card $500 spending within calender month plus base rate. Interest is calculated on a per day basis(amt you have in smartsaver)

Also to add, remember to make 3 bill payment from the BoC account to earn another 0.6% bonus interest. The 3 bill payment is easy eg can be just $5 payment to any 3 different credit cards.

Those with the mastercard debit, are we suppose to see anything under the "Debit Card Service" on the internet banking?

Mine is showing blank under the "Select Debit Card". Do I need to link the debit card to the internet banking?
