Hi, for those who spent 500 or more using BoC debit card in December, did you receive the bonus interest this month? I just checked today & i didnt get it. Called up customer service & now waiting for them to get back to me.

I got the bonus interest and also 0.1% rebate. What you spend on? You used masters?

as above, same here, did not receive rebate

for those who never receive the rebate... just thinking out loud that one possible reason could be "posting date". Just had this account and their cards for a month and my personal observation is that the cards debit & credit seems to take 2-3 days later to post than cards from other banks. If you had done the transaction at the very end of the month... there could be a possibility that the actual posting was in Jan 2016 hence no bonus interest was awarded?

You are correct. I got a call back from BoC & mentioned the same thing. They will only award interest based on posting date. So I will get it in Feb instead. Too bad I already spent another 500 this month...

Today my giro credit from company got rejected....bank code is 7083 & branch code 011. Called BOC & they mentioned codes are correct....??? I omitted 6500 prefix from my acct number as mentioned in email thread. Told HR to include 6500 to see if it goes through....aiyah....this bank really more hassle than the rest.

these are correct (without 6500). i've received the salary crediting many times with this config and even transferred my paypal funds back to my boc account.

maybe your HR made a mistake with the codes?

For the bill payment bonus, just want to confirm a few things. Paying two credit cards from the same bank counts as two transactions and I only need to pay another bank credit card for the last requirement?

Paying the same card twice would count as one transaction, like ocbc?

Hey all, just opened a Smartsaver account for savings. A few questions:

  1. Is outward transfer via MEPS free? For some reason the only way to transfer to Standard Chartered is by MEPS. There's no mention of any fees.

This site says no fees: "For transfer to other MEPS participating bank accounts, the funds will be credited to your receiving bank within the same business day if the transfer is performed before 3pm. There are no service charges for these services currently. "

This factsheet says it costs $20 (under "MEPS", rightmost column).

  2. Any way to set up monthly standing instructions? Their ibanking interface is really not user friendly.

  3. No bank charges for crediting salary to your Smartsaver acc right? This factsheet says there's a cost for crediting salary (bottom right corner) :s22::s22:

1. There are 2 SCB options under transfers. Choose the other one that is FAST enabled

2. No way for any kind of scheduled transfers

3. No cost for salary crediting

Is the amount made for bill payment(e.g. other bank's credit card) by online banking considered part of card spend?

If not, how to pay other bank's credit card with BOC debit card? Din't find it in online banking webpage.
