anyone book directly for Japan hotel website like Mitsui or Dormy inn?

They have cancellation charge but they dun require me to put CC details, does this means my reservation is confirm?

Yes. So far all my previous bookings are from official hotel homepages. Been selecting to pay at the front desk upon arrival.

Yup, your reservation is confirmed. Payment to be made when you check-in at the hotel.

I have similar experience with hotels in Sapporo and Toyama.
