Hello,

My pc running on windows 7 has been stuck in a boot loop after POST

Can't even get into bios or safe mode, tried plugging keyboard into all ports already.

Reseated cmos battery and RAM, still the same issue

Would appreciate any help rendered. Thanks in advance :o

Verify if
A) your harddisk is selected as the primary startup in the bootup sequence
B) your harddisk is in the correct mode (AHCI or Ata compataible)
C) do you see windows loading screen before the boot loop or simply restarts after post

Hdd boot sequence is correct

Never touch hdd settings before

Just restart after POST at the motherboard splash screen before win 7 logo

I guess considered pass POST

sequence is like that

1. press power button
2. motherboard brand splash screen
3. everything power off and go back to #2

keyboard got no response and num/caps/scroll lock lights never even flash like usual, can't enter BIOS or boot menu

will try to plug everything and diagnose step by step :o

It didn't pass POST. It is stuck at the BIOS.
You need to RESET the BIOS.

It is not simply taking out the CMOS battery.
You have to short the CMOS reset pins,
Please check the instruction manual for more details.

As someone suggested earlier, disconnect the harddisk then you will know for sure. I personally ever encountered corrupted harddisk that caused boot loop. Once you are in the BIOS, please check the date. If it's some old date then replace the CMOS battery.

shouldn't be harddisk, if harddisk can't boot. mainboard will attempt to boot to next device in sequence, can be usb, dvd rom or network even. you should encounter a message that says " unable to find boot device" instead your mention mainboard power and keyboard dying off.

in my opinion it might your bio settings or faulty mainboard.

personally i would have rule out rams or graphic card, usually this two device are sensitive that you won't even see the mainboard splash screen if they memory or sit issues. \
