Bootcamp Assistant on Mountain Lion

Hey apple pros.

Question. After creating the windows partition, my MacBook restarted but it's stuck at the white apple screen. I'm using an 8gb USB stick to install windows 7.

However, I read that mountain lion does not support installation of windows via bootcamp if there is no SuperDrive present. I replaced my SuperDrive with an ssd.

Would just like to confirm if this is true?

there is no need for superdrive. Please make sure your ML is 10.8.4 as it is the version that provides official bootcamp support for win8.

I'm installing win7 ultimate 64. Can't seem to find out why the restart after partitioning is always getting stuck.

macbook air do DO NOT hav a dvd room in its bios(as though u can disable it so easily)

so all in all u still need a dvd/cd disc right?

suggest you read page 3 and 4 of the boot camp install and setup guide.
