HI folks,

I know there are a few threads about boracay but were a few yrs back. Need some update info thus appreciate if you can help.... Your little sharing helps me a lot. Thks in advance.

Planning to go there in May:

1) is May a good month to go?

2) the easiest way to get there?

3) recommended accommodation (budget 100 +/- per night. Somewhere nice and ideally as close to the beach as possible)

4) any itenary to share (we planning a 5d4n) might extend if need to.

FYI we don drink thus clubbing not preferred but dun mind look look see see.

Thks pals....

Going with gf or who? Be prepared for 10-11 hours long of travelling time if you go via Kalibo.

You basically cover all modes of transport in this trip. Air, land and sea. It can be really tiring and it's not like it's a very luxurious place. Unless you are staying in the Shangri-La then that's different.

Wow.... Wondering if is worth the hassle and pain or shld I go to Bali instead

Def worth the hassle in my opinion. Best beach I have ever been to. And that's comparing with Krabi, Phuket, Bali, Bintan or all the more common beach place.

For hotels/resort, u can try Surfside hotel. I stay there b4 when I went there in Oct 2012. The beach is just in front of the hotel. Owner of the hotel is a Japanese. May is still a good month to go. But...... take note. Now Boracay is over crowded already.

Boracay is known as a party beach island. It is lined with bars first then the hotels. :s13:

It is a good starting intro to Philippines beaches. After Boracay you might want to go other beaches in the Philippines have to offer.

tiger flight reached kalibo late evening. So by the time u reached baracay it will be night time. Some hotel close their counter. It's the waiting time that kills.
