I used to bowl there as it near my hse... After close down, switch to OCC instead.

interesting.. i didn't think pple would actually like those wooden lanes there.. I guess u could try victor's to substitute grassroots.. though.. i think grassroots ish worse than victor's superbowl.

Is Victor's closing down for good?

Yes. Both Victor's and Superbowl at Marina will be closing by Oct. The entire Marina South area is being developed.

Ken's Pro shop will be moving to the new Kallang bowl. Victor's will no longer be in the bowling business (at least that's what I heard).

Any way to correct the thumb release? I'll always muscle the ball causing the thumb to be swollen. Some say pull a guard to solve the problem or change the pitch. What is pitch?

thumb swollen would usually be the case of the friction cause by your thumb gripping the ball. or your thumb hole ish too big and hence encouraging thumb gripping

uh pitch? sowwie. I not so expert, dunno what that is

But I think u could be refering the timing of the release.. and I dun think wearing a guard really increases the timing of your release though.

It's mostly for support and for people who dun know how to hook to learn to hook.
