you went at the wrong time. such sales need to go first day if not don't need to go liao. the rest of the days are just selling whatever that's left.

went to converse sale... super crowded, heng no need que to go in... very stuffy and hot inside...

alot auntie uncle...

main aim was to get the john vavatosss JP but all of them are in sizes 7 or 8... Saw a 199.99 JP for 49.90.. stupidly no have my size..

end up digging for JP at the stockpiles, managed to find 3 JP but all the colors that i dont want, then finally found a size 11 grey JP and bought it at 35...

the cashiers work quite fast to minimise que snake.

ok2 sale imho, must come first day to nab the good stuff.

Technically, yes. They have enough stock to last the duration of the sale and should top up everyday. However, the staff sees that the rack is empty, they will automatically top up, perhaps using the "next day" supply to do so. It would make sense for the staff to bring out and sell as many stock as early as they can. Their supervisors will also want more window of opportunity i.e. time to sell. This way, everyone can have an easier time and close shop early with less stock to repack and store. Usually, less (few) days is pick up sh*t and leftover fishbones. Plus, even on the first day, people already tear open the packages, untying the strings, in the rack belows and trying to search for their sizes even though those are stock meant to be released later. A few of the better experienced staff did the right thing by telling these people to back off.

If it is any consolation to those who missed out, this year's sale is not as good as last year. Alot of the nice stock and good deals are ruined because too many uncles and aunties come with several baskets, taking up all and every nice ones along the way and all sizes including really small ones and very large ones and they jam up the whole place by "choping" even in queueing to pay. The heavily marked down ones are the limited editions which look very obiang and bling bling. They may be some good deals but they come rarely and for those people lucking enough to spot it.

For the rest, I think many people would be better off paying a bit more and buying from beach road army market, can choose the designs you like, instead of rushing with the crowd, who anyhow take the shoes, try on and kick aside. I can see many shoes either not in their boxes or mismatched plus one side dirtier than the next pair, one pair even have peoples shoe print marks on them. Not to mention god knows how many stinky, dirty and fungi laden feet have been in the shoes before you bought and paid for them.

I think in the coming months, if anyone sees uncle, aunties, kiasu and chao kuan ppl selling those shoes without boxes, mismitach boxes or prices in written in permanent markers at the sole, refuse to buy from them and support them. These are people who are spoiling the deals from genuine buyers. In fact, if you see those retail shoe shops selling converse without license or refuse to give you the right box, you can be assured that they bought it from the sale and try to carrot chop you afterwards.

Ya we do restock. we will replenish every nite or once the size ran out. we had been bringing new chuck taylor canvas and leather too. today got new apparels and now having hourly special, $10 bags.

are you saying that THAT LIST of STOCKS goes obsolete FOR THE DAY?

Those who was here on the 1st day will know all the shoe downstair was in a mess and we had kept all n throw away the box. Those on 2nd are Newly restock frm top. So, those shoe on day 1 will be throw m sell on wagons wifout box. Had to spent time urself to dig frm there. As the quantity is quite alot, it was thrown frm time to time since last nite. K only say got some JV inside.

When i arrived on the 2nd time during the first day, everywhere was in a mess.. very jialat.. everyone was searching and digging for shoes, esp @ the converse side.. dunno what happened during that 2 hrs that i wasn't there.. but i know someone toppled a few rows of the converse shoes, making a mess out of it.

yes there was some JV inside the longgok pile, but all of them are in sizes 7 or 8...

when i was there around 4pm, the converse shoe boxes were stacked up to form a "wall". Except that the "wall of shoe boxes" appeared to be "demolished" by a tank. With shoe boxes all over the place.

Was looking at the chaotic mess, then the staff started stamping furiously on the empty shoe boxes. (so for some shoes without boxes, now you know what really happened.)

Everytime there is a sale, everyone behaves like savages.
