Probably best news for PSA and those doing logistics, we might see a spike of imports to Sg from Asia and re-export to USA for 10%

if really no choice, buy.
else buy alternatives - e.g.: MIJ stuffs are as good or even better.

anyway, many of their brands have products made outside of u-ass

singapore won't retaliate alone.....usually this kind of thing....usually the whole ASEAN will issue a statement.....South-East Asia countries as individual state to small and insignificant economically to retaliate against the US alone

I dunno what our gov did right or is it Trump like SG, we are the few that only have 10% tariff together with USA brother UK and Australia.
Even USA runner jap and Korea kena 24-25%

SG export more to the US,
so the wise move would be to reduce tax from US import to Zero and expect the US to do the same.

And why should we retaliate , crazy ah?
It's like Trump is designating SG as it's gateway in Asia for exports to USA. All our neighbouring countries are hit with minimum of 24% tariff

Doesn’t make sense to reiterate. The news already reported in most media channels. Why should Singapore reiterate the news somemore?

Retaliation on the other hand is something we can consider, although I think it is better to not retaliate at this stage.

They will need to support SGD and use it as a buffer.

US is in control as long as USD is the main currency. This is pretty much a prelude to tax cuts, strengthening USD against the major currencies in the coming months, and then we will see funds flowing back into US.
