Serious please

stocks and reits are definitely not stable, if not why people choose to put money in fixed deposits over them when they give much higher yields?

for vivowealth, there is always a chance they may suka suka change their policy terms few years down the road,

Among the 3, stock is the most unstable. Follow by REITs and then VivoWealth.

However, you must also consider their returns.

Stocks, if you know when to buy and sell, give the highest return.

REITs, if you know which to buy, give the best consistent return.

VivoWealth, give the least return, but requires the least monitoring.

You have to choose which is more important to you. High Return, Consistent Reasonable Return or Least Effort.

Like what previous replies have seriously said, fixed deposits and singapore savings bond.
For survival, you need cash that is readily available.

If you have a bigger risk appetite, feel free to use reits for survival.
I'm sure you are capable enough to identify how much risk you are willing to take, and then choose the financial product that fits your risk appetite. :o

Please study the price movements and dividend payouts of REITs before imagining those characteristics. Also, read about the sensitivity of REITs to interest rates.

In other words, go study about REITs first.

reits of course....they are obligated by law to dispense 90 percent of their income.....in fact i believe reits are the superior investment of choice in sg,after all this entire island is one big rent seeking economy.theres not a single sg company thats worth a rats ass or can present the roi or total returns or guaranteed income as a good solid reit.

This is not correct, at least not as a generalization.

York Water Company (symbol YORW on the New York Stock Exchange) has been paying dividends to its stockholders every year, without fail, since 1816. If you want a bigger name, ExxonMobil (symbol XOM) has been paying dividends every year since 1882, when it was known as Standard Oil. And I'm just barely scratching the surface. There are lots of stocks with 100+ years continuous dividend payments.

REITs, at least the modern ones, were only born in 1960 in the United States. (Thank you, President Eisenhower.) Singapore wasn't a separate country in 1960, but Singapore later adopted roughly similar legal constructions.

There. Is. NOTHING. Magical. About. Real. Estate. It's just another sector.

REITs is actually quite similar to stocks in terms of their risks. REITs are considered more stable because REITs are obligated by law/contract to pay out dividends.

Yes, other equity stocks pay out continuous, consistent dividends as well, but they are not obligated to. This means if they decide not to pay out dividends, shareholders also lan lan suck thumb

None. These are investment tools, not trading tools.

Over the long-term you can grow your wealth with them, but they are bad for short-term returns.

If you have a minimum of $200k and a long-term strategy, you may be able to get a $20k return per annual with stocks and REITs.
