What are u talking abt? According to UOL regulation 2009-2010,

BSc Business Foundation Units are:
1. Intro to Econs
2. Stats 1 & Maths 1
3. Principles of Sociology
4. Principles of Accounting
5. Intro to Business and management

Meaning to say you can't choose whether to take them or not, you can only choose which subjects to take during your 1st year

if you like writing essays then year 1 put psoc and ibm ba. if not poa and psoc then. ibm is the harder one, so put it in year 2.

Well, I did POSC, IBM, Maths 1, Intro to Econs & Stats in my 1st yr, and POA, CF, LBO, Marketing in my second year, and I just did MSM, MM, ESAP and Audit in the 2010 exams.

What me and my friends like to do is to make it even, like 2 qualitative and 2 quantitive subject each year, so it won't overwhelm us.

It's good to plan for the subjects that you want to take for the next 3 years.

Just be very very prepared to study a lot for both PSOC & IBM. Like really more than you have ever studied in your whole life. At least that was how I felt. :)

All the best!

Hi there,

I have a question that I hope you may address:

1) For the first year, first semester, there are 5 subjects (POA, POSC, IBM, Maths 1 and Stats 1, and Intro to Econs). Can we choose them? Or are they chosen for us?

Thank You!

I took IBM in yr 1.......now gg to yr 2, actually yr 1 u can choose between POA and IBM, see which 1 u are better at, if u are better at quantitative units, take POA, if u are better at theory units, take IBM.
