I recently updated my ASUS UX303UB to the latest Windows 10 updates, might be the Anniversary updates, and I noticed my notebook crashes daily when I watches video on Youtube. The stop code is "ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC". It's very annoying knowing that it has just been updated and this happens.

The same thing happens on my HP Pavillion notebook also after a Windows 10 update. I'm suspecting it has something to do with the VGA drivers, since both have dedicated nVidia cards on board. Any idea how can I get this fixed??

Try downloading and installing the latest graphics driver from nVidia if you have not done so.

Try downloading and installing the latest graphics driver from nVidia if you have not done so.

That was what i did for my HP notebook and it cannot boot into Windows. HP does not support OEM nvidia driver for some reason, must download from HP website only. End up I need to restore the entire HDD. So I'm not gonna do so for my ASUS noterbook unless someone has done so before, too risky...

In general. Trying to install drivers directly from intel and Nvidia without cleanly uninstalling the oem custom display drivers would present a message which prompts you to use drivers from the Oem instead.

The solution to this would be to use DDU (display driver uninstaller) - a freeware. This cleanly uninstalls all residual oem custom display Drivers - Nvidia & Intel following which you will be able to install the latest drivers directly from Nvidia / Intel themselves. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Fairly risk free but Murphy's law applies.
