try re installing drivers? most problems with new coms are often their drivers. Do note to download the latest driver directly from the manufacturer's site instead of using the disc that comes with it.

None. Power color r9 270x devil 2gb and i5 4440 on a h87m dgs asrock mobo.

Hengheng220 is right. It's the driver's fault. However I am using the latest ati driver and the problem still persists.

What exactly is this making bsod? All win7 drivers are updated on the first day I diy my computer 4 days ago

Probably because the driver is not completely perfect... mine got occasional bsod even when idling. But does this happens often?

Happened twice for a week. I am still not sure ati driver or windows7 os driver

Now another new issue.

I turned on the switches for monitor and psu.
Power up pc.
Monitor led showed green for detecting display.
Pc is running and booted to windows. (Can hear the window boot sound.)

The bad part?
The monitor is showing black(3 types of black) screens before the sound of window7 booted.
3 black screens changes is due to bios menu then windows logo then window background.

I can use my keyboard, mice, to restart windows and the problem persists.

After 5 reboot, success display of bios menu and windows logo and then background.

At first, I suspect gpu.so I had 560 ti sonic replace the r9 270x and it didn't give me problem until the next day, same issue repeats.

So is it my psu now? Wow I had been facing failures one after another.

Are you using dell monitor and by chance installed speedfan program?
My dell monitor experienced delay when starting up and also locks itself after installing speedfan program. Googled it and found out its a known problem. Managed to solve it by d/c all cables and holding monitor power button for 10 seconds. Weird case of monitor being affected by a software.
