BSOD while installing Windows 10 on new PC

maybe try connecting to the cha/wp header? which is located beside m.2 slot

TS must have rush through his build and connected everything at once.

Even started to tweak the bios before his system is up and running.

Lazy to disconnect unnecessary parts to troubleshoot.

To TS: please follow what others have mention, bring your motherboard for RMA. Let the professional diagnose the motherboard.

err, but how u even did that - did u turn connector wrong way & forced in?
in left pic got a flap of plastic, that should fit into slot on right pic - can u check if its connected the right way now...?

At first I connected to pin no. 2-4 so one female pin on the fan splitter stuck out (was not connected to the header). I thought this was the cause of my problem so I fixed that but it's still not working now..

TS can even slot the ram the wrong way....looks like he is pretty careless in some way.
Maybe he might have damage something on the Mobo along the way.
My best suggestion as mention by one Bro above , rma the Mobo.

Hmm how can we detect if the mobo is faulty here? I'm able to run Cinebench R20 multiple times without crashing though. And if it's customer's mistake, can we still RMA it? I ordered it through Amazon Sg..

The cha/wp header on my board is located on top next to the cpu fan header. I will give it a try again tonight after work

from ridges on the connector, it looks like it's still the wrong way (but not clear)... can u pls check instead of needing to repeat what i already wrote...

Guys.. after looking at my pic again I think I connected it to the wrong header (it's the chassis speaker header!!)

Seriously though, will this damage my motherboard?

I had issues with front audio too.
After i shine torchlight into the mobo, i found that i did not manage to push all the way in. (i can still see the pins)

After that, do a audio driver update. Then i had to go into the sound settings to select the correct output in order to hear it on my headphone. Had some issues with the sounds as there are multiple inputs

Wah. Is this the first time you try to DIY a pc? Next time, try getting someone experienced to do it. Write down the steps he/she did. It should help you greatly, in case you forgot to plug in stuff or connect wrongly.

Perharps you should be more gentle and detailed. Using motherboard manuals can help. Most of the forum members here cannot remember every single type of motherboard specifications.

I would advise you to seek professional help at sim lim square at this point of time.

Forum members only can highlight or provide possible solutions to whatever you've mentioned. But I fear that there are points in which you might have missed that could be the critical cause for error, and forum members do not know of.

I'll check mine again later.. from the pic seems like it has been pushed all the way in, but the cable is being tightly pressed by the gpu maybe that's why..

I actually did read the motherboard multiple times to locate the headers but somehow still made that mistake..

Wah. Is this the first time you try to DIY a pc? Next time, try getting someone experienced to do it. Write down the steps he/she did. It should help you greatly, in case you forgot to plug in stuff or connect wrongly.

This is my second build actually. The first time I was able to boot the pc without any problem. But yeah, if I'm stuck and the pc still doesn't function I'll check out SLS.

Btw on HWiNFO, my ryzen cpu idles at around 45-55C (jump back and forth in between) with occasional spikes to 65-70C++ (for a very brief split second) while doing absolutely nothing. Everything is still at stock setting.

However, during Cinebench R20, the temp always averages below 70C and only hit 70C++ in the beginning of each loop..

I did have a hard time installing the Noctua U9S cooler where I had to take out the cooler and remount it back a couple of times without re-applying the thermal paste. It's a brand new CPU and cooler though.

Please go brush up your knowledge.

1) Ryzen do have slight higher idle temperature.

2) The occasional spikes means you have process running in the background.

3) Does running Cinebench R20 even suppose to mean anything useful?

4) Did you remember to install AMD chipset driver?

5) Why bother to use HWiNFO, when AMD has it's own Ryzen Master?

6) Your action of not cleaning off the thermal paste, does not have any major observable negative effect.
