Hi,

My computer will suddenly BSOD and it shows "Memory Management" and when that happens my mouse will stop working (Will have to reconnect my mouse for it to work)

I'm using a steel series sensei mouse, is my mouse causing this problem?

Happened quite a few times before, all these happened after I changed my mother board and processor. As in getting the message "Memory Management"

I had the same problem before I changed my mother board and processor too, but the BSOD message was "USB Bug Code".

The other USB device that I'm using is a FiiO E10 USB DAC.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I did a reformat and a clean install of win7 after changing of mother board and processor.

Same thing happened again, when I was playing FF:ARR and I alt tab.

Can anyone help?

u could try using another mouse n see if hav same problem when u alt tab. since u said reconnecting mouse solves the issue.

if the game has fullscreen windowed mode u shd try that to. that way alt tav wont cause crash

After a few months, the same thing is happening again. BSOD for memory management.

I have changed my mouse to Logitech MX518 and the same thing still happened. Prior to changing the mouse I have also resit my rams.

It happened 3 times earlier today while I was playing FF:ARR.

I don't think it's my steel series mouse. Can anyone help please?

What does the Memory Management Blue Screen mean in Windows?

I think might be ur ram slot issue, did u try to put ur ram on other slots ?

Try to re-seat ur ram. I suspect u didn't put it in properly after u change the mobo.

I already resit the ram the day before and the BSOD still happened 3 times yesterday. Could it be the ram faulty?

I will try to change ram slots tonight when i get home, but if the problem still persist means the fault lies with the rams?

Good afternoon.

Sorry to bother again.

Quick update - I have changed the rams to the other slots and things were fine for a month, up till today.

When I woke up and open Chrome, I got the same BSOD "Memory_Management" again.

Have determined that the BSOD was not caused by the mouse as I have changed mouse.

Could it be the motherboard or the Ram issue?

Really hope that it is the rams issue.

what ram are you using?

can you check the voltage on the rams?


if 1.5v, make sure the bios is set to 1.5v or xmp profile.

because I had a pair of rams that were suppose to be 1.65v but bios(when set to auto), set them to 1.5v. Whenever I use memory intensive stuff like games, I will after awhile get BSOD. after I set to 1.65v everything is fine.

just check perhaps that could be your problem.


if not you can try:
updating bios via manufacturer's website
clean your ram's contact points and slots
or memtest your rams

I'm using G.Skill RipJaws X 1600 DDR3. Any idea how many volts are those?

Edit: I guess mine are 1.5 volts.

ahhh, then I think you gotta try memtest.

if you can't even last like 1 hour on windows then try get the bootable memtest to test memory

ps: use usb as bootable

if you lazy then u can remove ram and send it to warranty service centre to test

Thanks for the input, guess I will bring it to the service centre to test my rams, not sure how to remove my whole motherboard.

quite troublesome. you got to remove all the stuff like psu(depends if its blocking), graphic card/sound card, cables and then the screws. Cpu cooler should be fine unless you are using watercooling stuffs
