Say about highest 29th, 2nd = 28th ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™

Please kindly give some pointers like Pro vs Con

Got relative stayed at top hdb floor before
Pros: higher ceiling height
Cons: keep leaking, call hdb many times to fix, end up fed up sold the unit

2nd highest. U will not get the full sunlight radiating heat down. The precast panels used today are not as thick as the in situ casting for concrete slab as yesteryear

If there's a buffer zone above the highest floor, the top floor is fine.

The main concern is about the sun hitting it and heating up the whole unit.

If there's no buffer zone, you have to decide for yourself. I personally would get the 2nd highest just to avoid being cooked. Aircon bills also go up because it takes more power to cool down the room/flat. But there are upsides to being on top, such as no elephants jumping/stomping around. My neighbours kids upstairs are stomping and jumping even at 11pm, so it's a bit annoying when I'm trying to sleep early.

If chiu ish top floor but that stack got Roof Garden then no point. A lot of "visitors" walking and chatting above and got no security guard to shoo them away.

Top floor units usually have higher ceilings, could be 3m or more, may feel noticeably more spacious.

I have a friend staying top floor, claims no " heat " issues. Things could have changed vs previous.

TS just need to take note, top floor has higher ceiling so reno costs would be higher.

Got pros - no one throwing things down or drip/pour water down, no ugly water pipes in your service yard (more space for your washing machine), no one stomping/running above your unit. Cons - longer waiting time for lifts.

As for heat on top floor units, only old HDB blocks have solar panels installed. Some of my neighbors who stay top floor quite happy with their units too. Can sell good price too. But just make sure no rooftop garden above your unit, might have issues like Dawson free entry rooftop gardens.
