Sorry to ask in this old thread....
I got my queue #of 8xx for 3xx units for Nov 2014 (2 room @ Yishun).
From what I read above....my chances is almost like sleeping on the mat at void deck.
I then saw the email for the Dec 2014 application, but it says I will have to give up my current queue.
So qns.....
Qn 1 : How long will it take for the "queue" to be cut or when will they tell us that no more flat for the Nov 2014 and send us the "please try again" letter ?
Qn 2 : If I get the "please try again" letter does it mean I have used up my 1 of 2 chances per year ?
Qn 3 : If I get the "please try again" letter, does it mean I am a 2nd timer ?
Qn 4 : If I decide not to wait for the "please try again" letter and cancel my current queue # and apply for the Dec 2014 flat, does it mean I am using my 2 of 2 tries ?
im confused. are you referring to the July 2014 bto exercise - Yishun? No reason that you can get a queue number for the Nov 2014 bto hahaha. And your Dec 2014 is referring to....? The Nov 2014 bto?
Based on what I understand from your qns, here's the ans:
Q1: You can monitor via myHDBPage using your SingPass as well as the Flats available for selection over here
HDB InfoWEB: Flats Available for Selection (For Invited Applicants) : Buying A New Flat . The letter usually comes in a few weeks late... unless the flats are all taken up way prior to your appointment date then you will receive the letter earlier.
Q2: Nope. You will still be considered 1st timer. 2nd timer is unless you gave up a chance to select.
Q3: Refer to Q2 Ans.
Q4: If you choose to 'cancel your current queue', then it's considered as giving up a chance to select so 1 of your chance is gone.
Hope I'm right and hope this helps. If i misinterpret any info wrongly, you can clarify on your side too because I was really confused with your dates. hahaha.
