Hi guys,

I'm deciding on a CPU case as I'm building my custom rig.

The PC specs I'm looking at aren't super high tier type, so I just need a budget casing. However, I need one with very good cooling and ventilation capabilities because my room is really stuffy and humid.

I also wanna avoid any kind of LED lights the casing emits (be it from the fans or whatever).

Right now I've narrowed down to the CM N200 or the Deepcool Smarter. Which one is better at cooling? I'm open to suggestions for other cheap/budget casings/chassis as well :)

Thanks!!!

Cheap and better cooling on chassis does not equate together.

More fans does not mean that it is cooler.

The pricing of a chassis depends on how many fans they include and how good the fan specs are. Some are so bad that there is no static pressure nor any form of airflow.

Usually people buy the chassis and swap out the fan instead. Which cost more.

N200 the bundled fan is not really good.

But at least post here your specs of the pc so that we can generally see what kind of temperatures expected.

ASROCK H81M-HDS, i5-4690
Silverstone 500W 80+
Zotac NVIDIA GTX750TI 2GB DDR5
Kingston PC 12800/1600Mhz DDR3 8GB
Toshiba 500GB 7200RPM
Crucial BX100 120GB
Samsung 24X DVDRW SATA OEM

Perhaps along the way, you guys can suggest some good Casing/Cooler fans (without LED lighting type of course)? Thanks!! :)

my personal fav is Corsair color ring fans.

Get a AF120 for the front. SP120 for the rear. looks good and pretty quiet.

How about casing/chassis fans? :) Any to suggest?

right now everywhere is selling the legendary gentle typhoon AP15. 25 bucks each. Lazada, PC Themes and Tech Dynamic (if you stay in the east) selling them. They both move tons of air and have good static pressure. And they have one of the best silence to performance ratios. Im using them now and honestly, they are a Godsend.

oh ya one more thing. not having top end parts does not mean you have to get budget case. don't skimp on cases cause even the really good ones just cost 120 - 160 bucks. they look good and offer better parts and airflow. it's one of the cheapest components of your rig so if you buy a budget case and don't like it, you'll just buy another. buy a good one and just stick with it. IMHO anyway.

Sounds like a valid point. If that is true, I'm willing to top up a bit more for a mid-budget casing (instead of low budget). Any to recommend? :)

Not many cases excel in both airflow n noise. If yr prioritise both, suggest u go for Fractal R5.

Thats right. Thats exactly what ts needs.

TS you got to understand that a criteria for both cooling and low noise have to come hand in hand when purchasing a chassis.

Usually all the below $99 mid tower chassis are crap to begin with.

As you go up the range, more metal than plastic is being used, better construction, much solid, bundled fans are somewhat good, more wire management space to work with, proper 2.5inch mounting and 3.5inch mountings, additionl fan slots for attachmets, rubber gromets for hiding the wires, lesser sound, and easy to work with.

There is so many benefits to buying a 1x good one rather than buying cheap chassis. Although ts components dont really need to go for $200 chassis, a sub $1xx category will be a good choice for you.

Go for something that is worth while. Not buy cheap one and this and that dont have, ended up buying more fans and eventually the cost comes up to a sub $1xx chassis.
