Budget desktop PC for primary student

Hi expert bros here, a friend ask to help to built a budget pc. Quite long time didn’t built so don’t know what items to get. Please help recommend a budget pc at max. $700 as title stated. Will be getting the parts at SLS and items need are as follow. Thank you.
1) CPU and MB
2) Ram
3) PSU
4) SSD or HDD
5) Casting
6) Win 10 OS

I know you mentioned DIY at SLS.

If your friend is more open minded, can try an NUC. Comes with OS even. Just need keyboard, mouse and monitor to work. Everything else is pre-fixed.

The bare box itself cost S$355.46 on Amazon Prime SG. Suppose you can use the rest of the $350 for ram, SSD and OS.

2) Crucial/Kingston ddr4 8gb Ram
3) Kingston UV400 120gb SSD
4) PSU (need recommend)
5) Casting (need recommend)
6) win10 64 bit OS
I have spare Sata HDD to add in for storage.

perhaps you could change your cpu and mobo to ryzen 3. mobo b350 chipset.
psu: seasonic m12ii 520w?
casing: depends on your preference. perhaps any cheap one will do..

Look for Index 1 and 2. Both at 519 & 659 look good enough (just need to add monitor and os)

Throw awayvthose tn monitors. Use current IPS monitors. It has intangible benefits...

$800 = crap laptop. You buy certain " unwanted " brands, even lowballers don't want. End up use as a paperweight

$800 is better off getting a G4560 + 8gb + 1050 + SSD/HDD combo in insert case. If one feels price is crap, go wait for Intel 13th Gen / AMD Phoenix Ridge.
When DDR6/7 comes out, maybe DDR4 prices may crap downwards, instead of upwards...
