I need some inputs from those who recent purchased budget range of Gaming laptops.

Specs I came across as follows;

Processor i7-7700, Discrete Graphics GTX1050, 8GB Ram. 2TB HDD or 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD.

Would these run Gary's Mod nicely with plenty of workshop? Hope to hear some inputs.

if you want to go for i7 you probably would want to look at 8th gen now since it's hexa-core. Asus/Dell would be great choice for it. I went for Dell G7 15 during the CEE Show (still waiting for delivery) but i got 1060 Max-Q & 16GB ram for less than 1.8k.

You can try your luck with ASUS FX504. It's a 8th gen i7, rest is same specs as you mentioned.

I bought it during CEE show for $1307.

Thanks all for the help. End up with an older DELL Model. Model 7567 instead. Specs as follows; i7-7700, 16GB RAM, GTX1050Ti, 128GB SSD+1TB HDD.

Son used it on Fallout 4, Gary Mod. Feedback received is that Laptop is snappy. I will upgrade to 256GB NVMe SSD later

I doubt that laptop is using NVME ssd instead of SATA ssd. Do confirm before purchasing.
