I am asking for my fren for a budget build.

Budget:1.5k
Need monitor (24inch), need os, no need KB and mouse.
No colour preference.
Putting on top of table.
Playing BF1 amd CS.GO mainly. No need to be in high setting.

not good at casings so won't be able to advise u much on that. i prefer something cheap can already.

the total without casing is around 1026. if ur friend doesn't care too much about graphic quality and wants to maximize frame rate, consider a 1080p @ 144hz monitor with the qnix qx2414 @ 287.50 (qoo10) or the zowie xl2411 @ 400+.

like all builds, there's potential to min max every component. it's how u want to do it. but this is a rough gauge for u to proceed. there are some coupons and vouchers for u to utilise but i am too lazy to calculate the total cost.

and yes, some people will tell u to get that gtx 1070. i agree that it's a much superior card but the pricing now is just horrendous.

edit: just realised i centred it around 1060 for this build. if so, cut the budget further and get this psu instead http://www.lazada.sg/fsp-hexa-450w-80-10115703.html

carousell one shld be fake de. in any case, the $20 usd one i talking about is the education version. it's enough for usage.

Both windows 10 pro. Ok saw that reddit selling 8.1 @usd15. Carousell seller is myshop88.sg got 200+ positive reviews wor but i nv buy lol coz unactivated seems like same 100% functionality leh.

everything increased tremendously. now gpu no longer good to get 1070. some people still push to get 1070s when the price is not at the bargain of 300+ to 400+. really..

the idea is coupon stacking. now dun have those coupons. the cheapest 1070 u can find will still in the 500s. that's a $200ish upgrade, possibly hitting $300. at the price, it's not really a bargain, more of a want.
