Doesn't matter if it's a Asus directcu or so, i also sell my Asus directcuII and honestly, most people do not care. They just want a card within their price range.

Of cos if TS can't go further than $200, then your GTX770 is another option he can look at.

680=770 +/- 960 +/- 1050 Ti.
If TS wants a drop in replacement, probably 1050/RX460 will be a good choice considering PCS 7850 is a pitcairn than a PCS 7870 myst tahiti chip (cut down 7970).

But value buy wise will be 1060 3GB.

Problem is i can get an asus gtx970 2nd hand with longer warranty close to that price point.

Using your anology if i can get note 6 at 250 with longer warranty or note 5 at 220 with 1 month warranty, most people will go for the former.

I'm selling at this price because of the brand. If this is some random Palit / Leadtek / Weird unknown brands, i would have priced it below $200.

Please also note the GTX770 has about 90% the performance of a GTX1050Ti based on benchmarks. A new Asus GTX1050Ti price is as follows

1) Strix 1050Ti = $329
2) Expedition 1050Ti = $289
3) DUAL 1050Ti = $269

Of course, the 1050Ti has 4GB memory while my 770 only has 2GB. That's the catch. And yes I did mention prices are negotiable. Because I'm sick of encountering low ballers.

I grant you that the Asus GTX 770 has a very good cooler. The GTX 690 came with an Arctic Accelero 690 custom cooler which is much better. The stock 690 cooler has vapor chamber tech which is already better than the Asus DirectCU cooler and the Arctic Accelero 690 beat the stock cooler by around 10 to 15C.

No matter how you look at it, the Asus GTX 770 is overpriced at $230.

You can sell the Asus GTX 770 for whatever price you like. However, if you try to convince a noob that it is a good buy, you can expect fellow HWZers to respond.

I agree. Chances of failing for that old gpu is higher because of the age too.

I rather buy a new gpu than get that old gtx770.

Fyi, all GTX cards from 400 series and above supports Direct X 12 APIs.

2) As long as Nvidia GeForce experience is installed, drivers are updated automatically. Sideline Legacy drivers? This ain't GeForce 2 MX. Technically all past generations GPUs are already considered as Legacy. Yes, that includes the mighty 980Ti.

Actually it depends. Simple people like me as long as can run 60fps at max settings can liao. I don't go into too technical into such details. Since I started gaming I have never ever bothered about Direct X, Open GL etc..

who will wanna buy a 3 year old card with one mth warranty for $230 when they can save $70 and get a card that runs better, better driver support and 3 years warranty

if really wanna compare asus to asus we can get asus 1050 for $239, which imo is not worth for a card like 1050
