Budget GPU recommendation

What's the absolute cheapest (First hand) GPU I can buy that can run Overwatch at 1080P (med-high settings) and have the FPS never dip below 60fps regardless of what's going on? No pref for nvidia/amd, have a decent 650w psu

Overwatch is much better to run at Low setting. For competitive tho. Google Optimal overwatch settings and u can roughly know the meaning.

well overwatch is just an example, i just want a decent budget gpu that can run games at 60fps minimum at all times. right now im using a rather old 7770 and fps can sometimes dip to 30-40ish

I'm sure you should be fine with the 1060 3gb from nvidia. 60fps minimum at 1080p for most games should not be a problem. Can go for 1070 maybe if you worry about future AAA titles or plan to game at 1440p in future.

1060 for budget conscious.
1070 for future 1440p if u decide to upgrade.
4K reso I think still need many years to become norm...

second this. am running a strix 1060 but my ow settings are all in low except for texture quality in medium.

my previous setup ran a 7850 pcs+ i managed to have decent fps at about 120-150, did u turn off the limit fps settings?

I don't play overwatch already, but I ran the game at 1080p, lowest possible settings and even had to set the scaling thing to around 75% in order to maintain 60fps. FPS will dip to 30-40fps during big fights.

7850 and 7700 has quite a noticeable difference in terms of performance

thanks, looked at 1050 mini seems like one of the best budget to performance ratio cards out there
