Hi all. Currently my pc is without a GPU and im playing Final Fantasy XIV with sad 12fps. Not asking to play at high end settings but comfortably at low settings is fine.

Can anyone recommend me a budget GPU below $100 and where i can get it? :s11:

Im thinking since im buying a relatively cheap GPU, i probably do not need to care about upgrading PSU?

My current set up:
Windows 7
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz
4GB RAM
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family 8.15.0010.2291
MB: H61m/U3S3

Cheap GPUs not worth it IMO

Maybe you can look around the forums for people selling second hand GPUs... something along the lines of the 750Ti or something :(

Take note of power supply too :(

You can get a decent card for $100 or less. I'm using a GTX 560 SE with i5-2300. Playing GTA V and Fallout at 720p. You can get a HD7850 for $80~$100. I am looking to upgrade too. Do make sure you atleast have a reputable brand PSU and minimum 450W. :)

What PC chassis, power supply are you using? Those can potentially limit the choices you can make for graphics card.

I totally understand the part about sweet spot. But 750TI is like $200 up. Kinda tough on me to shell out the money to try a game :(

About 2nd hand GPU: Is it advisable to buy 2nd hand GPU? So far the part i've changed the most seems to be the GPU. Are they the pc part with so called shortest lifespan?

PSU: Dam, cant see from the case... anyway else to check without dismantling it?

Dont know whats the model of my chasis, but its a coolmaster tower with 3 3.5" bay and 2 2.5" bay

Top up abit more and buy from Lazada?

Palit GTX 750 Ti StormX Dual - $154** (Lazada)
+ $3 shipping

Buy from Lazada App
**DBS FriYaYs (12% off capped @ $25)

IMO, getting anything lower than GTX 750 Ti in this price point is not worth it..

Buying second hand stuff really depend on your luck.

The best deal right now is Palit GTX750TI from lazada. Must use discount code.

Don't pay $100 for a shitty GT730 where you top up $50+ for Palit GTX750TI from lazada+discount code which can perform 2.2 times for the performance.

Overall, it is about PRICE TO PERFORMANCE RATIO. Not the more you throw your $$$, the more performance you get.

lol you got the same PSU as me haha. Anyway the PSU fan should be facing downwards. :spin:

But i still need to know if it is of 400/500/600W. Still got its invoice or PSU packaging box?

But for $100 you should be able to land yourself a 2nd hand GTX 750 Ti which will have no issue with your PSU and chassis. :)

Based on benchmark, a GT730 is about 4 times that of the Intel HD Graphics 2000 that he is using. It may do the trick if TS is a light gamer with low expectation (no ultra or high, only medium or low, 30 fps, 1080p or lower) and has a tight budget he wishes to stick to, if he's not comfortable with used GPU.

Of course, it doesn't give the best value for money i.e. performance to price ratio.

You sure 750ti got $100 2nd hand? I rarely see them for that price. Always like $120-$150 :s22:
