Budget Graphic card sub$100

Hi guys,
Can advise me what card to get(and where) sub $100?

My old system, XFX HD 6850 card died a few months ago (5 days after warranty ends) I have been running on board graphics.

Just feel that getting a budget discreet card that is perform slightly better than my onboard will solve my online lagging issues.

Best to get older pci-e 2.0 graphics card, cheaper and less issue for a old rig.

Sub $100 card and onboard gfx, not much difference. Might as well save up and get something from a better performance class.

But well, if you have $200 then it is either the 7850 or the 650ti boost.

Yes i concur it is not worth buying sub $100, but looking at time spent on the rig and more usage on Smartphones and tablet. I figure a little bump up to free memory is worth it.

Just curious. Is it a problem with this particular Club3D card or a HD 7750 problem that is common for all manufacturers?

LOL! Used market. HD5850 $80+ only... Can play bf3 at medium, l4d2 at max settings.

Online laggy as in with online social network games? Or didn't you install IGP driver?

The online social network games is ok (although level 145 Bloons TD5 will make my eyes laggy first) sometime my nephew play LOL and i feel the lag is there when watching him play.

I believe if the lag is really an issue, I think even a $100 budget entry level card can help. You can't go too wrong if you're currently experiencing lagginess or slideshow.

According to Review: Sapphire Radeon HD 7730 1GB GDDR5, the lowest end card "HD 7730 is about 50 per cent faster than the HD 8670D graphics used in AMD's A10-6800K APU." And as we all know, the APU from AMD is already one of the best IGP available.

Of course, it depends on your expectation and the games you intend to play. Definitely, entry level cards are only good for playing at lower resolution (720p? Forget about 1080p), and playing at medium quality. You should not expect to max out to ultra quality while playing Battlefield, Metro, Crysis or FarCry. But at least it gets rid of those choppiness and jerkiness when playing. I have seen on YouTube people getting decent (subjective) results with LOL with a GT630. You have to decide if it is decent enough for you.

But avoid those $50 - $80 cards, I believe they're more for media decoding/encoding like 1080p blu-ray HD playback decoding for HTPC/old PC with weak CPUs. You should target at least a HD 7730 / HD 7750 / GT630 / GT640 in this price range.

Price of GTX650 is about $150 - $180 range. Maybe a bit too far from TS' initial budget of ~$100? But it will future proof TS for more games if he/she is willing to up his/her budget.

Maybe get a budget Palit GTX650 at $155? There is difference with on-board graphics. I'm using. And by freeing up the RAM, your windows experience index also will up.
