I never trunk though, just use tape stick it on the wall

Knowing that you will be moving house in the 3 years' time, it is even more viable to opt for a homeplug connection since it is destruction-free to your current home furnishings and is equally affordable as installing LAN trunking to your bedroom. Moreover, you cannot transplant LAN trunking installation over to your new house and waste your investment shortly within 3 years, whereas you can simply install the homeplug anywhere as long as there's mains outlet. Be it current home or new house, hassle-free and neat. All of the aforementioned alternatives are definitely way cheaper than installing SCV cable point.
