Budget PC build

Hi guys, i am kinda new to customized PC .. so any recommendations for custom build PC which range around $800+-? Not really into gaming that much, but more on programming application such as visual studio, net surfing, watching shows and all. Would prefer a fast processing computer. Thank you..

Edit: I have 1TB HDD (working) and 2x4gb DDR3 Ram.
Wonder if it could make any difference in reducing cost

400W more than enough if you gonna run it with its integrated graphics.

Infact i think 300W is enough if you're getting the bare minimum stuff.

If so, ya, you can just throw in a graphics card in the future, especially after the prices comes down.

500W more than enough to power those components, alongside a GTX 1070, assuming you don't overclock.

Then sell away the RAMs and buy a 2x 8GB 3200MHz RAMs in the future. Or can just slot in additional 2x 4GB 2666MHz Rams.

Recently built my own, so above based on personal experience.
Add $30 for unforeseen expenses - e.g - out of stock product.
PSU better to get something lower powered ~300W for efficiency, but cost goes up.
Need to do some BIOS tweaking to start but nothing difficult.

Pros:
2200G is 4 cores with very good gaming potential
MSI board has integrated wifi and bluetooth
Case is very small
HDD is a SSHD, meaning frequently used files will open faster

i see.. but which type of ram are you referring to? DDR3 or DDR4?
i do have 2 x 4GB ddr3 ram but not sure is it 3200 or 2666mhz. If its compatible, i still can save extra cost (or use this cost to get something better also can)

Thanks for the suggestion! But what if lets say i wanted to use (example ryzen 5 1600 as processor) do i have to get a compatible Mobo with it?
Will it exceed the cost? Sorry for such a noob question
I can use back my old 1tb HDD , and ram (2x4gb DDR3) , so is it still possible to get a better processor as mentioned above and mobo?

look to upgrade as well but mining is just gonna get bigger and bigger

All new builds require DDR4 RAM. DDR3 RAM tops out at 2133MHz I think.

Ryzen 1600 does not have integrated graphics. Meaning you would need to purchase a separate graphics card for video output. With GPU prices as they are you are likely to exceed your budget. Since the 2200G, 2400G and Intel G4560 have iGPUs then you save on a graphics card.

If your intention is to play modern intensive games then it makes sense to go with the 1600 plus some GPU. If the main purpose is spreadsheets, programming limited to two threads then the G4560 is enough.

But the G4560 is dual core and so, as a natural upgrade from that, I think the 2200G or 2400G, being quad core, is more future proof for non gaming processor intensive work.

Both the 2200G and 2400G also coincidentally have vastly superior integrated graphics compared to Intel offerings, so for medium level gaming it will do the job should you need it.

If you have spare budget maybe you can consider 2x8GB RAM, better RAM type for overclocking, and a nicer case. I think the 2200G is worth double its price and better value compared to the more expensive 2400G. The MSI board is quite good. If you choose a larger sized board then you may lose out on neat features like WIFI and Bluetooth that are normally only found on ITX boards.

Edit: Spare budget can also be spent on trying to save space. Using very small cases - small form factor (sub 7 liters) and power supply. But that's a whole different topic.

AMD 2200G + MSI B350i Pro AC ~ 333

Equivalent Ryzen 3 1300x + MSI B350i Pro AC + Equivalent cheapest GT1030 2GB ~ 368 + 135 ~ 503

About $170 more for similar specs in discrete components. Please anyone correct me if I am wrong.

2200G vs 2400G = $86~~ difference

Ryzen quite dependent on memory speed, so 2666MHz and 3200MHz does make a few difference (for gaming).
And Dual Channel is much better than Single Channel.

Sadly there's no 2x 4GB 3000/3200MHz rams, only 2x 4GB 2666MHz.
(At least from PCThemes, you might find it on Amazon or newegg though, but not sure if it's supported)
So if you're looking for 3000MHz rams, you'll need to buy 2x 8GB minimum, which cost like $289 for GSkill Ripjaws V or Corsair Vengeance LPX.
If you're going for 2x 4GB 2666MHz, the cheap ones goes for like $158.
Rams are expensive, so if you want to upgrade your rams, you'll have to pay alot more.
(Having said that, 2x 8GB 2666MHz and 3000MHz is like $10 difference for Corsair Vengeance LPX)

Casing wise,
can just get TT Core v1 ITX for $79 (I'd rather go for this, look nicer although slightly bigger and more expensive.)
or
Coolermaster 110 M-ITX for $65

I would suggest you try the HyperX Fury I have recommended. This RAM is rated to run at 2667 MHz CL15 on the MSI board according to MSI's QVL list over here:

As explained by FroztSpectre, you will mainly see an improvement in gaming if you increase your RAM speeds. This is not vital to you I think. But should you wish to try your luck you could try to apply a 3200MHz frequency on this RAM and see if it sticks. This is what I have done for my PC (see stats in my signature ->). Chances are you should at least be able to achieve 2933MHz.

If you go with 2x8GB RAM then the cost jumps from ~142 to ~265 (Lazada).

All of the suggested cases are nice. Can also consider SilverStone Sugo Series SG13, SilverStone Raven, Fractal Design Node 202 (though latter two needs SFX sized PSU).
