Budget PC for about $800

Looking to assemble a budget PC for about $800~$1000. I would appreciate any recommendations on parts and shops.

maybe u can tell us what your usage? 800 is like u at most play those moba or cs:go that kind of games.

Actually just max cs:go....I don't really play games much, but want to have the option for something like cs:go when I feel like it. Main purpose is to replace my current self-assembled PC which is about 7 yrs old

. It's been giving a lot of trouble lately (failing hardware) and I'm tired of fixing it up - finally decided to retire it.

Also looking for Win 10. Any information on the reddit site...seems very cheap (https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/). Wonder how legit it is.

well i still think that if can change to these but aint sure where u got the price :

Pretty sure that is a ddr3 mobo, do correct me if im wrong though

sadly i dun remember have such board. if u want. u have to change your casing and a pay abit more of it as well.

but u can get usb and BT 3.0 can consider these 2 :

Thanks folks for the replies...after doing more research, I've decided to downgrade on processor and and go for a bigger motherboard due to price. I don't plan to game very much anyway and i3 should serve my purpose for my daily use and occasional games. Let me know if the combination below makes sense.

for me h170 still best goes with i5 though, but still up to u.

but kingston ssd...im not sure of this model.

and next for psu can just grab 450w since 1050 dun need so much power. (dun have need a power cable from psu as well

Understood about the i5 going well with the h170. I'll definitely consider it....

Saw the kingston for a cheap price on the price list. I'll do more research and see if there are any bad reviews.

I wanted to get the 450W, but it wasn't bronze rated. But if the FSP 450W is good enough, I'll just get it. Cheaper anyway.

V300 has multiple "hardware revisions". But in fact later revisions are deeply down costed and sold under the same nomenclature aka bait and switch. I'll recommend looking at other SSDs.

Things about ssd and hdd is all about luck. Some find Toshiba easily spoil, some find Kingston easily spoil, some have both and nothing spoil.

Another option you may wanna consider is Ocz Trion 150 ssd 240gb for $98 at pc theme. Installed 2 of it for my friend I find them not bad for a tlc ssd though samsung 850 still better but more costly of coz. Haha

I've not had any experience with SSD's....although I have plenty of experience with HDD's. The newer ones have failed on me after 3 years/5 years etc... However, I have one that's lasting me 10 years and still not showing any signs of weekness. Really depends on luck as you say! :s22:
