My friend would like to get a budget rig for pubg, football manager and usually work applications. No video editing work.
His budget is about 1k as he does not require pheriperals and monitor.

Meanwhile he has a 5 yr old cpu with below specs and would like to know if he can reuse any.

Intel G3220 @ 3ghz
Asus b85-pro gamer
Windows7 home 64 bit
Nvidia 8400gs DDR2
8gb ram. 798.1 ghz DDR3

Nothing he can reuse since current gen all using ddr4 ram. Maybe can reuse chassis and psu, but that's about it.

For pubg to run 1080p at 60 to 70fpp, would 1050ti suffice? I personally using 1060 6gb though.
1k is an indicative budget. Maybe bump to 1100 to 1200.

His parts aren't compatible with current gen due to the change to DDR4. However he can sell them away to fund the new build.

Here's a ~1.2k build I put together for a client recently. Can run PUBG at 1080p Ultra with average 60fps, or average 80fps at medium.

CPU: Ryzen 2600x - $279.5
MOBO: Asrock B450m Pro4 - $145
RAM: Kingston HyperX Savage 3000MHZ 2x8GB - $199
SSD: SanDisk SSD Plus 480GB - $99
GPU: MSI RX580 8GB - $315
Case: Tecware Nexus M - $48.90
PSU: CoolerMaster MWE Gold 550 - $103.80
Windows 10 Home: $40, or just don't activate Windows and use it with a small watermark on your wallpaper (also legal)

Total $1230.20

Can save $50-$100 if you search for more discounts etc, maybe even more.
