Hi all, I'm looking for a webcam (for PC use) preferably with 1080p. My budget is $50 or less. Can someone recommend me one? Thanks in advance.

Look for a cheap Logitech camera if you want quality. Those unbranded ones will not be great and probably wont last either. Logitech do a huge range from budget, mid-range to high end so this is where I would start.

Thanks for the suggestion but I've already tried using my phone as a webcam using the Droidcam app. It worked, however my phone got too hot after an hour.

Thanks. I'll look for an entry level Logitech Webcam then. Got a good impression of Logitech products.

Hope you found your webcam :)

If not, you can consider the Hikvision DS-E12 which I recently reviewed.
The Hikvision DS-E12 is about SGD 22 from Taobao.

Found it to be a really good webcam for the money - 1080p Full HD output, 88 degrees FOV, and omnidirectional noise reduction microphone! The quality of the microphone is really quite good, more than adequate for work.

You can read more about it here if you are interested.

I bought hd pro c920 for 139.
I bought a cheap webcam previously and the picture sucked. This is much better.
