Build a gaming rig now or WAIT??

Hi all,
i have been planning to build a gaming rig for a while and have in fact already have an idea what i would be getting.
The rig i have in mind is below:

cpu: i5-3570k
mobo: asrock extreme 4
gpu: sapphire 7970
SSD: plextor 128g
HDD: WD blue 1TB
RAM: g skill 8gb
Cooler: cm hyper 212 evo
Case: Corsair carbide series 400r
Sound card: asustek xonar dx
windows 7

I will be planning to overclock, and will be playing games like crysis3, bf3, and dota 2. I am using a relatively slow laptop now, so would really love to get a new desktop asap.
However, i heard that Haswell would be coming soon around june(?) and the gtx 700 series at the end of year(?). In this case, in terms of value wise, should i buy everything now or wait for haswell? Will haswell (along with its new motherboard) will significantly more expensive than this?

LGA2011 is IB-E...

Haswell is LGA1150...

Haswell release in June are going to be price point replacements of current IB...

I've been upgrading or years.
And the only reason I upgraded to 3770k is because of the mobo that comes with SATA3 for my SSD.

The improve is very min and the only speed it could only be due to my SATA3 on my nee mobo... Base on real life experience.

I had an i7 960 with mobo that comes with Marvel chipset.. If my old mobo does come with SATA3...
I dont find any need for me to upgrade.

The hardware is way too advance now..
So, if u asked me, i will say go for what is available now. Enjoy it, it bet on i5 market now, u will not notice much different with the new intel.. Unless u benchmark it. Real life, i dont think u will feel any diff.

And I think the new 700 series gpu will cost more.
Im just saying.

IMHO, it depends on what you are doing. If you are not overclocking, it doesn't really matter much.

Cause games like BF3 and Crysis 3 are GPU bound rather than CPU. Hence, with the GPU as bottleneck, faster CPU will not do anything (although Haswell is slightly faster only).

But if you want the latest and going to oc, I think its better to wait for HAswell as I read rumours that Haswell can oc better.

true that this is not even a "K" chip but look at the ram speed

For Total War games (and many strategy games), they tend to be CPU bound and lightly threaded. For these games, good single thread performance is important.

i think realistically if you want to wait, it's not june it will be like end of the year cos you don't really want to pay the full price at launch do u? have to wait for stocks and pricing of mobo and cpu to stabilse

hehe why don't you buy now, then buy haswell when it releases and throw the current into a server build.

I plan to "sell" my current system to my sister with a bit of mod and buy myself a new rig. Hehe. 700 series + haswell.

i wont mind the wait is the price difference isnt too big. i also heard that haswell wont be much more expensive, but im just wondering what will be the price of the new motherboard that comes along with it

No. Intel chips have not been dropping significantly in price over their lifetime since SB and it is not expected to drop for Haswell either.

One potential issue with Haswell's accompanying new chipset is the USB3 issue (please apply google-fu to find out more). A suitable time to buy Haswell is probably late Q3, early Q4.

For me, I had EVGA 680 2gb FTW.
Those games that Im currently playing had no different with my old card GTX 560Ti base on real experience.

Of coz benchmarks will tell different story.

Im just saying, its depend what style of monitor u going to get..
