Hi Guys,

its been a while since my last build PC.. so abit outdated and need your guys opinion on the PC that im going to build.And im gonna Build SFF Desktop. Mostly for Gaming and light editing. No overclock.


Case: Fractal Design Node 202
PSU: Corsair SF 450
Ram: Hyper X Fury 8GB
CPU: i5 7600
mobo: MSI H110I Pro-AC (any other mobo to suggest)
GPU: Zotac AMP 1070 Mini
SSD: Samsung 850 250GB
CPU fan: Cryorig C7
Case: Fractal Design Dynamic X2.

Why don't want i5 8400?

I'd suggest M.2 over standard SATA SSD

850 is available in m.2. sata and pcie ssds barely make a difference to your standard user in load times. save the money and get sata.

I see i5 7600 with MSI H110i Pro Ac (ITX) for about SGD450 and i5 8400 with Asrock Z370M ITX/AC about SGD490.(The difference is about 40 dollars)

But then the downside of this is currently OUT OF STOCK.

i think this build will cost me around 1600++
any suggestion where can get cheaper price for all the item apart from Qoo10 & Lazada?

I don't mind getting 8600k but i don't think i will overclock. So if i get it will defeat the purpose.

True, same for me. I got all the parts except for a processor so I’m thinking if I should get 8600k or keep waiting for 8400 stock.

HAHA. We are exactly in the same situation! I got everything except my motherboard and processor. The rest are just rotting at my house. I think 100 dollars is worth the wait though i believe 8600k will be better than 8400.

Go check reviews of 8400, you will realize that fps in gaming is similar to a much superior i7 8700k.

So in gaming performance, 8400 matches i7 8700k, where does that leave the 8600k?

I think its because some shops in sls has the 8600k in stock and there's a lot of demand for the 8400.

So for $100 more, some may feel its worth it to get the 8600k now rather than wait for the 8400 to be in stock which currently have no eta at all.

Furthermore, this week all the sls shops only received the 8700k and thats it. I have been waiting for the 8400 for 2 weeks plus already.

Stock will come every week but it will prob be low in numbers and not everything will come. They expect more in december though.
