Building a 4K Rig

Hey guys, I'm putting together a computer for occasional gaming and photo editing (huge RAW files in Photoshop and Lightroom).

I have a 4K monitor and I intend to make full use of it. It's highly unlikely that I will be doing any overclocking.

Given these requirements, would you make changes to the parts I have shortlisted below?

CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG - H7
Motherboard: Asus - STRIX Z270-E GAMING
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance RGB 16GB
Storage: Samsung - 960 EVO 500GB
Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 1TB
Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB Founders Edition Video Card
Case: Corsair - Crystal 570X RGB
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 650W

RAM don't cheap out. Get 2x16gb kit at least. Possibly expand to 4x16gb if needed.

Why gtx 1080 ti founder edition? Get aib card instead?

Photo editing with big raw files.. just get the 7700K with a cheapo mobo. They benefit from the higher clock speed than the mobo used.

Thanks singupingu. Sorry, what would be an example of an AIB video card? I've seen terms like "reference" and "custom", but am not sure what they are and what the differences between both are.

It seems there is no shortage of 1080Ti cards out there, and I simply picked one that had decent reviews haha.

Below $4.5k. I don't have to spend every dollar up to that amount, though. But I hope to have something that will leave me with enough headroom when running games at 4K (not a big time gamer at all) and photo editing software.

Photo editing with big raw files.. just get the 7700K with a cheapo mobo. They benefit from the higher clock speed than the mobo used.

Doesn't matter. The price will still be lower when you buy from shop. Gpu can consider getting online as it is cheaper after those discounts and coupons and rebates and cashback etc. There's a lot of stuff you can consider getting online. Lazada have $100 coupon soon.
