Why tradepac. Buy online. 1K can get the parts (or better parts) that you want.

Suggest get i3-8100 instead at similar price poiny to i5-7500, up to 1070 if have budget and if your PSU is few years old already get a new one.

2x8 easier to upgrade in future.

Asus strix very ex, unless u going for aesthetic, just get a cheap board

You should downgrade to DDR3 base on the game you're playing. Even a Intel dual core is enough for you. I'm currently looking at the G4560, their review not that bad. Save on the money from CPU and Ram then get SSD and GFX.

I have not known the ROG, STRIX or HyperX branding to be BUDGET. More like PERFORMANCE oriented..

Can opt for r3 2200g for future proofing :) wanted to go for G4560 too actually but R3 2200g + mobo bundle is around just $50 more, and better future proofing.

Aesthetic meaning, some users get a motherboard that is Red to suit a Red/Black theme PC. Basically aesthetics = looks.

If you are getting the i5-7500, im using Asrock B250M pro4 for my system, works great.

If you want cheaper, you can look at Asus H110 boards, but you need to get the shop to flash the bios to newest versio

There is no such thing as future proofing nowadays.

APUs are designed to be APUs. They are perfect if you don't want a discrete GPU
Once you want a separate GPU, things start getting hairy or it just doesn't make sense compared to a normal CPU+GPU combo

G4560 = BUDGET THROW AWAY SYSTEM
What is there to future proof? coz even if upgrade to I7-7700, all you are getting is an i7 branded I5-8400 quaility

At the moment, Future Proof = Current Gen Proc Ryzen and Coffee Lake
Coz I7-8700K and R7-1800X are miles apart

But buy and throw away systems, may be cheaper than Future Proofed systems.
Eg: G4560 system is $150 cheaper than i3-8100 system. When the next hottest game comes out PUBG2?? that cannot support G4560, you buy another set. Same goes for used set.

Future Proof now using PUBG as benchmark all in inclusive of hidden costs like transportation and time
Mid-Range system with Mid Range componen
i5-8400, 16gb, GTX 10606gb and an SSD. Around $1600 +/-
I3-8100 8gb Ram GTX 1050TI = $1200 +/-
G4560 with 1050TI = $900 +/-
Used system equivalent to G4560 + 1050TI = $700 +/-
So considering all things remain equal ( Yeah, even with mining or ram ups and downs, everything is just relative... ), one tends to spend the same amount of money whether he goes future proofing or just buy and throw away.

OK, lets take PUBG as a motivating factor
One can spend $1600 on future proofing, or as little as $700 which is like half for a buy and throw away system.
PUBG2 comes out say in 2 years time ( or whatever is the hottest game in town ), they throw away the Cheapo system and buy another cheapo system or they can just upgrade the GPU.
The Future Proofed system should have enough power leftin them to play PUBG2.
BUT it would have aged 2 years at least, compared to cheapo system #2 which even if you went to buy the G4560 equivalent of that time, would have been the same price spent overall for 2 systems, compared to the single future proofed system.

And Forgot about Cost recueration
When Cheapo system #1 gets replaced by Cheapo System #2, i'm pretty sure there is at least $100 in value there ). I can close 2 eyes sell off cheapo system #1 for $100-150 or trade it in for $50-100 also happy when i go for new Cheapo System #2.

hey bro, you made a very valid point here ;) thank you for your explanation and cost breakdown!
