Hi guys, want to try to start up to build a computer myself. Wonder if anything to take note and anything to prepare beside getting all the parts ready? Thanks in advance

1) Take note of your budget :D

2) Ensure your processor socket and motherboard socket is compatible with each other.

3) Ensure you pair the appropriate processor and motherboard accordingly (i.e. pair a K processor with a Z based chip-set motherboard).

4) Take note of your motherboard compatible ram speed, and then get the correct ram with the speed your motherboard supports.

5) Ensure your Power Supply Unit has enough to power up all your parts. (i.e. don't get a 400W PSU if you plan to have 3 HDD and 2 GTX 1080 Graphics card to SLI.)

prepare for back pain after assembling the pc on the floor :s13:

be gentle when lower the cpu chip into the motherboard socket , do it before your hand is worn out by the screwdrivers

Any screw driver set to recommand?

Don't need any special screw driver set. I think I built mine with a single standard #2 Phillips screwdriver.

The other thing to take note is give yourself plenty of time, do at your own pace, take breaks if you need. Lol. My first build, I was quite unsure about a lot of things, so really took my own sweet time step by step to make sure didn't make any mistakes. Even had a dinner break in between, then continued. Haha

Last thing is to chill and enjoy the process. Really quite fun and satisfying.

Thanks for all the advise guys!
But I've my casing and GPU ready for now. Maybe I would do a swap over since my cpu now is full of dust.

Finger cross nothing bad gonna happen

to add on to this

6) remember to choose a case that fits ur mobo and gpu and also the number of cooling fans u intend to install.

7) choose a psu with at least a logo with 80+ bronze and above.

8) remember to have your standoff screw put on the case b4 u put in your motherboard into the case.

9) plan where your internal wires goes to b4 installing everything. if not ur cable management will be messy :s13:

hope others can add on what i missed as well :o

^ tissue is faster and cheaper than IPA , the difference in temperature is likely a negligible 1 d celcius even if the tissue particles micro contaminate the cpu IHS and cooler microscopic surface

the velcro cable loop ties given free with powersupply works good at tying down SSD ... no bracket needed
