Hi I am building a CPU for the very first time. I only hear a advise to go to sim lim square and avoid level 1 and 2. I am building a CPU for gaming such as Dota2, counter strike and L4D and YouTube video.

My budget will be 2000 to 3000 depending on what is required.
I would like water cooling systems as I see this is something new and good.
Anyone know how shiuld I start and where or what should I take note using this budget?

For such games, a $1-1.2k budget is more than enough, maybe till $1.3-1.4k to include monitor, mouse, kb.

Also, by water cooling, you mean AIO cooling for cpu or those extreme levels of water cooling? Coz if its the latter, u need do loads of research. My advice is not to enter it until u are at least familar on how to self assemble your pc.

I will let the sim lim square people to assemble my parts, it's like 30mins and it should be done. Any shop you recommend, I heard biz gram is good.
Plus should be AIO cooling for cpu. In the later part I will post the CPU stats that another shop recommended me, priced around 2k cause I tell them 2k.

If you are not doing some extreme over-clocking, I don't see the need for you to have water/liquid cooling, just my 2 cents.

i5 sufficient for u, my usage similar to your and my 4yrs old i5 sandy bridge still more than enough. I played dota 2 and CS GO as well. i7 with hyper threading mainly useful if u do alot of encoding based on what i read. Gaming wise depends on core (both i5 and i7 hv 4 cores).

for games like battlefield, cpu does make a significant difference. itz not a normal but can be "future proof" if you have the cash why not, same thing for ram, no harm having more but no diff to gaming performance...

Rather spend the extra money on more premiun quality peripherals, headset/speaker, and monitor for overall much better gaming experience.

Rather TS go for simpler system since he seems amateur, might not be able to handle maintenance of water cooling system on the long run.
