Building a custom rig for myself :'(

Hey everyone!

I'm planning to build a custom rig for myself.

I know nuts about pc parts and all so I'm here getting advice on what should I get for my rig.

I want to be able to play GTA 5 on med, Star Wars on Med as well with 60fps.
I'll probably do some video editing from my GoPro as well, so please advice on the parts I should get. My budget is about $1.5k and below, but if 1.5k is too little, I can save up and get the rig later.

Using what softwares for video editing?

Any preference for colour scheme? E.g. Black with White/Red/Blue/Green/Gold/etc…
Need any of these within the budget?

Placing PC on table or floor?
Any physical dimension constraint at your PC holding area?

Which internet provider plan and router are you using?
Is your home in a relatively new apartment built in the past 8 years?
How far is your upcoming PC located from the router?

Wah I didnt know got so much considerations de.

Video Editing Im just using the GoPro software. It is GoPro Studio if im not wrong.

Whats color Scheme?

Windows Im looking at Windows 7, as Windows 8 and Windows 10 are known to be buggy

Monitor, I'm looking at probably 23-27 inches, 60 fps. Open to any brands for recommendations.

Speakers I shall source it out myself because I am VERY particular on speakers and subwoofer.

Keyboard and mouse probably Razer set. (This one I can probably get it myself)

No wifi adapter needed because I run a CAT6 wire from my router which is 3-4 m away, located in the next room.

Home is definitely not a new apartment as it is those colonial building.

Obstruction of the router and the PC is a window, cabinet and some books.

Placing the PC on the floor, no particular height or physical dimension restriction because my table is quite wide. (Full tower is quite possible, but MID Tower preferable)

Internet provider is Starhub, not sure about the plan, but the router is standard D-Link kind, Do let me know what should I look out for so when i get home after work, I can check them out and reply from home straight.

OMG I think i read your question wrongly,

Yes I need Monitor included in the budget as well as the OS.
Keyboard, mouse and speakers I shall get it elsewhere myself

Would recommend you to at least read up on some info before proceeding to buy lest u get your carrot chopped later on. Keep push you 'good' features make the price go up and up.
