Building a gaming PC

Hello everyone, I am looking to build a gaming PC - budget $1500 (excluding monitor, mouse and KB).

Uses:
- Gaming (Starcraft 2, Hearthstone at the moment. Artifact upcoming)
- Looking to learn and do video editing
- Streaming on twitch

Some considerations:
- Intel or AMD?
- I have an 240gb SSD from old PC - is it recommended to reuse?
- Open to ordering online from Amazon also. Have a friend who is coming back from USA

For your usage, RTS games, simple card games, learning some video editing, steaming your games online, all these best to have more cores and threads to work better. So, we are going AMD Ryzen for your scenario as it is more value for money for CPU that comes multi threaded.

For your SSD, how old is it? I suggest you use that as a buffer SSD where you store your ongoing video project, as long as it is not important and it's okay to lose it, you can store there. The rest, boot drive and storage drive, let's get a new one for those.

Since you got friend from USA, ask him to get you Ryzen CPU there, it's cheaper I believe. SSD, hdd and ram, can consider there too provided it is cheaper. Also, EVGA bundle GPU + PSU is cheap too when there are sales for it.

The list your quoted, is fine, but not good enough I think.

As a guideline:
- AMD Ryzen 5 2600X (use the stock fan will do)
- MSI B450 Gaming Plus ($476 with CPU bundle)
- Klevv Bolt 3000MHz 2x8GB ($230)
- Superflower Leadex ECO Silver 500W ($88 from Make Fine)
- Phanteks P350X ($115)
- Toshiba 1TB ($53)
- Crucial BX500 240GB ($64 via Lazada, Convergent)
- Galax GTX 1060 6GB OC ($388 via Lazada, Dynacore)

Separate would be better. Recommending TP Link Archer T6E for PCIe wifi or T9UH/T4UH for USB version.

aftershock has some rx 580 + ryzen 2600 promo for around 1k.

just need a 1tb hdd + another 8gb ram, self install windows adds up to roughly 1.1k.
