Hi fellow forumers,

I'm building a new rig since I am using a gaming laptop that is 3 years old already, and that in the desktop world is far beyond today tech.

So far, my build is as follows:

I5 6500 Gigabyte B150M D3H - $450
Gskill Ripjaw 8GB DRR4 - $110
ASUS GTX 970 STRIX 4GB DC2 OC - 570
Crucial BX100 SSD 250GB - 130
WB 1TB BLUE -75
Samsung 24x DVDRW -23
Superflower Leadex 550w Silver - 104
Cooler Master N200 - 55

My budget is around 1.5k however if there is a better part that proves itself to be value for money, I'll not hesitate to splash a few more bucks. If there are alternatives where I can get the same parts for a lower price, that will be great!

I am usually playing Dota 2, however occasionally I do play AAA titles such as Witcher 3 and Shadow of Mordor

If you wanna save extra, change the following hardware|

Ram: Value ram. Same performance. Save ~$15. Tradepac

GPU: MSI GTX970 ARMOR. Save ~$60. PCtheme

PSU: FSP AURUM S 500W. Save ~$15. PCtheme

Same performance yet cheaper
