Building a mining rig

Hi guys. Need some recommendation for building a mining rig (for bitcoin, ethereum etc etc.

Been looking up online but most guides are all for mining ether. Can someone advise or point me in the direction to a guide with step by step instructions for building a mining rig?

I have already acquired the most important piece of the puzzle, the GTX 1080 ti GFX.

There are a few theads and a lot of detailed step by step YouTube videos.

If you couldn't even find those, I do not think you should start.

FYI for BTC you need ASICS. ETH is so-so, most miners mine alts instead.

What you mine will be determined by the GPUs you can get.

FYI GPU prices are up 30-40% in the past month. Horrible time to buy.

ETH and zcash have high difficulty. But the GPU cost is prohibitive now.

first decide what you want to mine exactly first.
recommend to search for used GPUs to lower cost for first rig.
i see that you mention GTX 1080 TI.. honestly that is not that worth a card.
Most go for 1070...
and how many cards you have? 1 card?
usually recommended in 1 rig is 6 or 8 cards depending on the PSU that you like to pay.

BTC and BCH..GPU cannot handle.
U need to do a lot more homework first if you are asking for mining rig to mine BTC. Because it will not work.

besides that, consider where you want to place your GPU..
mining produces quite a lot of heat and noise..if thinking of putting in your bedroom, please consider wisely.

Even if GTX 1080TI costs $2500 from the usual $1200 BUT ROI falls within expectations to the miner, cost will not be an issue...

All cards, even GTX 1060 6gb 1070 1070TI 1080 1080TI are available in quantity and relatively easy to get.

True, just depends on whether or not you know how to tweak for most h/Watt and choose the right coin, the right miner, and how long you want to wait for ROI

btw i just checked, G4560 is not compatible with Z370A mobo right? it is kaby lake and doesnt work with z370 mobos. (physically its able to be attached but software wise may not work)

just use asus b250 mining expert so that if you decided to add more cards later, pcie slots are plenty.
