Hi Guys, I am going to build a new computer as my old one just died. What do you think of this config?

i5 6500
MSI B150M Mortar
2 x 8GB DDR4 2400 Gskill valueram
500GB Samsung 850 Evo
PowerColor PCS+ 290x 4GB (getting 2nd hand from friend)
Seasonic 620W M12
Fractal Design Core 1500

I am using it just to play games like War thunder, BF4 etc...... 1080p.

Looks good to go, similar to my new rig -------->

If there's a 2133 valueram, you can go for that (if it's cheaper)
PSU you can go for a 500W version (if budget is a concern)

everything looks good here, no problem. i'm assuming you're getting g.skill ram for the black pcb? also, you only need 8gb for gaming now, no need for 16gb.

U can afford to cheap out on the ram. 1x 8gb of the cheapest ram would be fine, unless u want the look/color scheme

Change psu to superflower leadex silver 550w/650w at $119/$129 in lazada. Much better than M12II.

Also, note that the cable management for core 1500 isnt that great. Get arc midi if price is very close.

Hi guys, is it better to get 290x or 390x? I know they are using the same GPU and mainly difference is only 4GB vs 8GB (other then clockspeed).

Since the Power Color card is already overclocked, is it better to go for 390X or just stick with 290x? The 290x my friend is selling still have 1yr of warranty by BL.

My monitor is only 1920 x 1080 and I do not have any intention to go for bigger screen.

the 290x will be good enough. Not much difference in performance between 3xx and 2xx

if u can fork out more money den go for 390x with 3 years warranty. else just get from ur friend den

Try ask him get Lower haha, gtx 970 2nd hand can get about 350-400(better specs then 2xx)

Cause 290 can get below 300$
