Building a rig under 2k, thoughts?

Will be using existing SSD & HDD

Rig is mostly for 1080p/144hz gaming + video editing/3d rendering, will try to do some light overclocking for the CPU & Ram. Any thoughts on whether I can improve it in any way while still keeping it under 2k?

You may want to see if you can squeeze a 2070 Super into that budget.

Would the Asus TUF Gaming X570 Plus (Wifi) be a better choice? It's my next choice for mobo since it cost only slightly more than the Gaming-X

You may want to see if you can squeeze a 2070 Super into that budget.

The Cheapest 2070 Super is like $150 more than the 5700xt with maybe 5-10% performance increase. In some games the 5700xt even outperforms the 2070S, is it really worth it?

Bought an i7-4771 rig from him years ago. Decent seller. Just tell him your budget, what cpu/gpu you would like and from there he will send you a quote along with specs for the rest of the rig. He does take a while to reply though so be patient.

Tbh I don't think it's overkill. Even at 1080p, hitting 144fps on most games is hard. I would get the 2080ti if I have the money but settled for 5700xt due to budget constraints. Again, I don't think the 2070S is worth the extra money for that small performance boost over the 5700xt

U can consider getting PCI-E Gen 4 Nvme since u have the board can take advantage of the speed.

That's still around twice the price of what I paid for my gen 3 ssd

I'll wait for price drop to come around before getting one.
